Erasing
Three Times
Three times I tried
Until the strings came apart
Losing ends grabbing
Invisible hands
To hold
Finding blocks of air
Stay a while
When the clock strikes one
Don't reach for the door
And draw the blinds
Why are you afraid?
To return to the beginning
And linger in senses' shifting sands
Looking for the shells you left
In the burrows of my heart
Two rats in one maze
Each thinks they’re alone
Turning blind
Corners and
Dead ends
Tails leaving trails
Paws scratching
Noses pointing because
Eyes are useless here
Stay A While
A Mazing
Poetry
The Rainbow Serpent
At the Edge of Myself
From the middle of the earth
Crawled the rainbow serpent
All strong and mighty
Breathing fire and creation dreams
Until he took a wrong turn
And found himself
Headed up a skinny pipe
All dark and cold steel
Gurgling and clanging
At the edge of myself are
Silver fish and white turtles in
Deep blue waters where
There is no reason
